PB Reviews
Where I review some of the latest and most popular plant-based products out there.
Plant-based sausages are a fantastic solution when you are looking for quick and filling meal. There is a lot of alternatives available in supermarkets, however a lot of them lack in nutritional value or taste.
Richmond's first ever meat-free sausages promise a high-protein alternative to the traditional meat sausages. They are made from a soy protein concentrate and come in at less than 60 calories per sausage. Even better, the meat-free version has been created to "both look and taste just like a Richmond sausage", according to the brand, with a crispy skin and "succulent flavour" - well no questions asked, I had to try it!
Verdict…
The Richmond sausages are different in taste and texture to any other vegetarian sausages that we’ve tried. They are much more realistic and taste amazing.
We would definitely recommend them to those at the beginning of their plant-based journey looking for simple meat-swaps.
